Writing Activities: Year 1

Grizzly bears

Grizzly bears live in North America. Whilst grizzly bears are usually brown, their fur can also appear to be streaked with white (grizzled), which is how they get their name. They like to eat berries, fruit, nuts, roots and leaves, even though they are at the top of the food chain. Bears hibernate in the winter and dig dens in the hillside, where they can rest their weary heads.

In this clip we will see a grizzly bear use a tree to scratch an irritating itch.
