Clip Description

Sloth bears live in the forests of India, Sri Lanka and southern Nepal. They are omnivores, who search for insects and fresh fruit during the hours of darkness. When a sloth bear finds an insect nest, it uses its long, curved claws to pierce a hole in it. Then, it closes its nostrils and uses its lips like a vacuum cleaner to suck up the tiny insects.

In this fascinating clip, a big cat creeps towards the sloth bears. The sloth bear mother sounds the alarm that a predator is nearby, and her cubs scramble to get to a safe place. Where do you think their safe place is? Watch the clip to find out.
