Challenge 1

Which conjunction from the Word Wall could you use to join the two simple sentences (1A & 1B) together? Write down or say aloud your new extended sentence.

Challenge 2

Look carefully at sentence 2. Can you find the conjunction? Is it in the right place? Can you improve the sentence by moving the conjunction?

Challenge 3

Write your own extended sentence about a mandarin duck or ducklings that uses a conjunction from the Word Wall and some of the descriptive words. (Your sentence could begin with the conjunction or it could follow on from your first clause.)
