With their flamboyant red-orange beaks, white-feather caps and peach-coloured feet, the gentoo penguins stand out against their drab, rock-covered habitat. They are the world’s third biggest penguin species and they gather in large colonies within the coastal plains, cliffs and sheltered valleys of the Falkland Islands.
