Clip Description

The emu is one of the largest flightless birds in the world. It has powerful legs and can run at speeds of up to 30 miles per hour. It can also protect itself from predators with a powerful kick.

In this fascinating clip, we are introduced to Brolga (nicknamed ‘Kangaroo Dundee’) and his three emus, who do not like to be left out. Brolga shows us what it is like to look after and raise these curious creatures in the Australian outback. What do you think will happen when his misbehaving emus find their way into Brolga’s shack?
