Clip Description

Numbats are small marsupials which mostly live in the south of Australia. These enchanting creatures only grow up to 50cm long – including their tails – which makes them easy prey for larger animals. Interestingly, they are also known as banded anteaters thanks to the bands running through their fur as well as their diet, which consists solely of termites.

In this fascinating clip, we meet a hard-working numbat mother and her family of four pups who are beginning to set out and explore the potentially dangerous world outside their forest home. Will they be safe as they travel further and further from their home?
