Challenge 1

Turn the first sentence into a simile. Remember – a simile is a figure of speech that directly compares two different things.

Challenge 2

Rewrite the second sentence with examples of personification. Think about how you could give the sun human traits as it shone down on the desert animals. Think about how you could give the desert animals human traits as they burrowed into the sand.

Challenge 3

Write your own sentence about the insects featured in the clip. Try to include some of the words from the Word Wall and at least one example of figurative language.
