Figurative language: springbok

3 - Whiteboard Challenges

Whiteboard Challenges

Challenge 1

Turn the first sentence into a simile. Remember – a simile is a figure of speech that directly compares two different things.

Challenge 2

Rewrite the second sentence with examples of personification. Think about how you could give the storm clouds human traits as the sky over the African savannah darkens. Think about how you could give the springbok human traits as they become more anxious.

Challenge 3

Write your own scintillating sentence about the springboks featured in the clip. Try to include some of the words from the Word Wall and at least one example of figurative language.
