Clip Description

Hamadryas baboons are big, strong monkeys found in Somalia, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia and Yemen. They look different from other members of the monkey family as baboons have a long snout and a dog-like muzzle. Although they are capable climbers, they spend most of their time on the ground.

In this fascinating clip, we get to see how these intelligent primates have adapted to different environments. Living in troops of up to 400 individuals, they spend their nights high up on the cliffs before descending to the grassland plains to hunt for food. What do you think will happen when one troop decides to invade the territory of another? Watch the clip to find out.
