Challenge 1

Rewrite the first sentence filling the gap with a relative clause that gives more information about the ambitious banana frog.

Challenge 2

Rewrite the second sentence so that there is a relative clause within it. Which of the two noun phrases, ‘the striking male’ or ‘the highest branch’ will you expand?

Challenge 3

Using some of the words from the Word Wall, write your own scintillating sentence about a male or female banana frog that includes a relative clause to add additional description and detail. Once you have done this, experiment with removing the relative pronoun and decide which version sounds better.
