Clip Description

Invented in 1907, plastic is a lightweight, strong and affordable material that is used to make many different products. If you look around your home or school, you’ll find that most things have plastic in them, including your pencil case, games consoles, and even clothing.

In this fascinating clip, we learn that thrown-away plastic is creating problems for the planet and its wildlife. Animals can get trapped in bigger items such as carrier bags or food packaging. Some animals mistake plastic for food when it has broken down into smaller pieces. What can be done to tackle plastic pollution? Watch the clip to find out.

Quick Whiteboard Challenge
