You don’t have to travel too far to see breathtaking scenery and dramatic wildlife. The UK is home to a some incredible animal species. Wild Isles, narrated by Sir David Attenborough, shows us the wonders of Britain and Ireland’s native wildlife.

In this fascinating trailer clip for the BBC Wild Isles series, we meet some of the stars of the show. They include rutting red dear, soaring golden eagles and killer whales on the hunt. Which other animals do you think we might see? Watch the clip to find out.

The last animal featured in the clip was a beautiful bird called a kingfisher. Kingfisher parents must look after a brood of 6 – 7 chicks in their riverbank nest chamber, and each chick will eat 12 – 17 fish in a single day.
