Clip Description

The long-tailed macaque is a noisy (and sometimes aggressive) monkey that is found throughout south-eastern Asia. It has had a long association with humans with some seeing it as a sacred animal and others seeing it as pest.

In this fascinating clip, we are transported to the Uluwatu temple in Bali, where it pays to watch out for thieves. The surprising pickpockets are long-tailed macaques. They are on the lookout for expensive items such as mobile phones. But what do they need them for? Watch the clip to find out.
