Did You Know?

Have you used something today that is made from metal? Humans first started using metal around 10,000 years ago, when they discovered that metals behaved differently to stone. Instead of breaking, metal could bend and change shape. Even better, hammering made it stronger! Once people learned to heat and shape it, they made tough, sharp tools for hunting, farming and building.
