Imagine ‘seeing’ with your ears! Bats use echolocation to fly and hunt in complete darkness. They make high-pitched sounds that bounce off objects, returning as echoes. By listening to these echoes, bats can tell where insects are and swoop in for a tasty snack. Most bats, including those in the UK, eat insects.
