Have you ever felt music vibrate through your chest? American alligators can make the water around them ripple and dance! Their deep, rumbling bellows echo across lakes and swamps. These calls tell other alligators to either keep away or help attract a mate. Amazingly, baby alligators can actually respond to their parents’ calls, helping them stay safe in the wild.
