Morning Starters: Autumn 1 - Bizarre Beasts
Did You Know?
What if a fish could hop and crawl on land? The mudskipper can! Its jointed fins act like legs, letting it move across muddy swamps and even climb trees. Its bulging eyes watch from above the water while its body hides below. Out of the water, it can even breathe through its skin and mouth. Even more amazing, male mudskippers build little muddy tunnels for their homes and fill them with air so they can breathe and protect their eggs underwater!
