Morning Starters: Autumn 1 - Pond Life
Did You Know?
Have you ever watched a helicopter hover? Dragonflies can do something similar, but with just two pairs of wings! They spend most of their lives as underwater nymphs before emerging to fly. Ponds are vital for their life cycle, giving them the water they need to grow. Dragonfly-like insects existed 300 million years ago, well before the first dinosaurs evolved.
