Morning Starters: Spring 1 - Raging Rivers

Thursday

Did You Know?

Imagine travelling to school by boat! In Zambia, a boy named Gift lives on the Barotse Floodplains of the Zambezi River. When the rains come, the land floods and the only way to school is by boat. Floodplains like these are created when rivers overflow, spreading water and nutrients across the land. They are rich in wildlife – but for Gift, they also mean an unusual trip to class.
