Did You Know?

Have you ever seen sand slipping through your fingers at the beach? Imagine that sand stretching for thousands of miles. The Sahara is the largest hot desert in the world, with huge rolling dunes shaped by the wind. Because deserts receive very little rainfall, dry winds can sweep across the land, lifting sand into powerful sandstorms. These storms can cover the sky and reshape the desert in a single day.
