Did You Know?
Have you ever walked a long way on a hot day and felt tired and thirsty? In Namibia, desert elephants must do this all the time to survive. They have special adaptations: smaller bodies, long legs, and wide feet that help them move more easily across the dunes. These elephants are highly nomadic, travelling great distances to find plants and rare water sources. They can even manage for several days without drinking, making them true desert survivors.
