Morning Starters: Spring 2 - Mischievous Creatures

Tuesday

Did You Know?

Have you ever traded something with a friend? Long-tailed macaques in Bali take this idea further in a very mischievous way. They steal items like sunglasses, hats, or even mobile phones from visitors. Then, they wait for tourists to offer food in exchange. Older macaques have learned that the more valuable the item, the better the reward they can demand. It’s a surprising example of animal “economics” in action.
