Have you ever seen a crab on the beach and watched how it scuttles sideways? Coconut crabs look even stranger—they are the largest land-living crabs in the world. With huge claws and colourful shells, they climb trees and are strong enough to crack coconuts. They are sometimes called “robber crabs” because they steal food and shiny objects, carrying them back to their burrows.
