Have you ever spotted a hedgehog shuffling through the grass at night? Sadly, it’s becoming harder to see them. Hedgehog numbers in the UK are falling quickly because of habitat loss from building and farming, pesticides that kill their food, and busy roads where many are hit by cars. Fences and walls block their paths, and climate change disrupts their hibernation. Without safer spaces and food, these much-loved animals are struggling to survive.
