Morning Starters: Summer 1 - Endangered Animals

Thursday

Did You Know?

Have you ever curled up under a blanket for a long nap? Hazel dormice do the same, hibernating through winter. But their numbers in the UK have dropped by more than half in just 25 years, and they’ve disappeared completely from 17 counties. Loss of hedgerows and woodlands, changes to the countryside, and even climate change have all made life harder. Dormice need safe, connected habitats if they are to return to their former numbers.
