Morning Starters: Summer 1 - Plant Planet
Did You Know?
Have you ever seen seeds floating on the wind or sticking to your clothes? Plants form seeds to create the next generation, and they’ve invented clever ways to spread them. Some drift on the breeze, some hitchhike on animals, and some explode. The squirting cucumber does exactly that—when its fruit is ripe, it bursts with a squelchy jet, shooting seeds as far as ten metres away.
