Morning Starters: Summer 1 - Plant Planet
Did You Know?
Have you ever smelt a sweet flower that made you want to get closer? Flowers use colour, shape, and scent to attract pollinators like bees, butterflies, and birds. But some flowers use a trickier method. The rafflesia, one of the world’s largest flowers, smells and even looks like rotting flesh. This disgusting disguise lures carrion flies, which unknowingly help the plant spread its pollen.
