Wednesday

Did You Know?

Have you ever smelt something so bad you had to pinch your nose? The titan arum, also called the “corpse flower,” produces one of the foulest odours in the plant world—like rotting flesh. It does this to attract insects that feed on dead animals, tricking them into helping with pollination. Although its stench is shocking, its giant bloom is one of nature’s rarest and most spectacular sights.
