Did You Know?

Have you ever noticed how something can sparkle and change colour in the sunlight? Hummingbirds do exactly that. Their feathers aren’t coloured by pigments alone but by microscopic structures that bend light. Depending on the angle, they can shimmer green, blue, violet, red, or even orange, flashing like jewels in the air. Males often dazzle with these bright colours to attract a mate.
