In Africa, Nile crocodiles really do grow to enormous sizes—up to six metres long. They aren’t after people but hunt fish, birds, antelope, and even zebra. With powerful jaws and a sudden snap from the water’s edge, they catch their prey in an ambush few animals can escape.
