Did You Know?

Rockpools are crowded places, where space is a precious resource. Animals must compete fiercely for the best positions, and sea anemones are no exception. These colourful, flower-like creatures have tentacles for catching food, but they also use special tentacles for battling their neighbours. According to scientists, these territorial fights can be surprisingly aggressive, showing that even the most beautiful creatures can be tough competitors.
