Morning Starters: Spring 1 - Violent Earth

Wednesday

Did You Know?

At the end of Australia’s dry season, enormous cumulonimbus clouds tower above the northern seas, stretching up to 12 miles high. These storm clouds generate astonishing lightning storms, with up to 1,000 strikes per hour! While marvellous to watch, such storms cause flooding, fires, and strong winds, disrupting local communities. Lightning’s fierce energy is a dramatic reminder of how wild and unpredictable Earth’s environment can be.
