A flash of lightning is a massive electrical spark, caused when electrical charges in clouds discharge to the ground or to another cloud. Lightning strikes are most frequent in the Congo, which experiences more thunderstorms than anywhere else on Earth. These spectacular storms light up the sky, reminding us of nature’s power.
