Did You Know?

The long-tailed macaque is a highly intelligent and resourceful primate, especially when it comes to finding food. On tropical beaches, it enjoys a shellfish buffet by skillfully using rocks as tools. With various rock-smashing techniques, the macaque expertly breaks open the tough outer shells of clams and other shellfish to reach the soft meat inside. This clever behaviour showcases its remarkable problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to its environment.
