Writing Ideas

  • The young Pallas’s cats are not very good at hunting yet. Write some instructions to help them catch that vole!
  • Not much is known about the Pallas’s cat because it hides away in caves and crevices and because the cats tend to live alone over vast areas in different countries. If you were a scientist, what questions would you ask to find out more about this interesting animal?
  • Pallas’s cats are named after the man who first discovered them in 1776 – Peter Pallas. Imagine you have found a cat that no one else has ever seen before. What does it look like? Where does it live? What does it eat? What will you call it?
