Proofreading: six-plumed bird of paradise
- Write a conversation between the two female birds that are watching the male’s performance. Do you think they are talking about how impressed they are, or what a show-off they think he is? Don’t forget all the rules of using direct speech.
- Write a set of instructions to help a male paradise bird, who has never done a dance before, prepare for his first ever performance. Include instructions on how to find the perfect spot, clean a stage and throw some mesmerising shapes.
- Decide whether you will be a male or female six-plumed bird of paradise. Write a lonely hearts ad for the The Daily Paradise Prophet. For example, if you are writing as a male, don’t forget to mention your amazing dance moves, long eyebrow feathers and flashy bow tie. Dazzle those females (or males) with your most persuasive language and best-choice vocabulary!
