Challenge 1

Look at the first sentence. Using your dictionary skills, how quickly can you locate the word highlighted in bold in a dictionary? What does it mean?

Challenge 2

Look at the second sentence. Does this sentence have the correct meaning of the word highlighted in bold? Check it using your dictionary. Can you find the word that is being described in this sentence?

Challenge 3

The Word Wall contains some great vocabulary to help you think about long-tongued bats. Can you put all the words in alphabetical order? Do you need to use a dictionary to find the meanings of any of the words so you can use them confidently?
