  • Write a Who Am I? poem that describes a wood frog. Here is an example using a different animal. Will your poem rhyme?
  • Imagine that you are a wood frog and you have just defrosted! It is time to explore your woodland habitat. Write a descriptive account of what you can see, hear, smell and taste. Do you have to dodge any dangers that lurk in the forest?
  • The prestigious Amazing Animal Awards (AAA) is accepting its nominations. You think that the wood frog should win an award for being the most extraordinary creature on the planet. Write a short letter, stating why you are nominating this particular frog.
