Fronted Adverbials: gorilla
Writing Ideas
- Read the gorilla poem. Starting with the opening line “I know I look quite frightening,” write your own first person poem about the silverback featured in the film clip.
- Disease, poaching, forest clearance and civil war all threaten the existence of mountain gorillas. Visiting the gorillas in their natural habitat is one way that this magnificent creature can be helped. This is because a gorilla trek generates money that can be used to help reduce the threats mentioned above. Imagine that you have embarked on a gorilla trek. Write a travel journal that details one or more encounters with these great apes.
