  • Imagine you are a silverside, who is lucky enough to survive an explosive tarpon attack. Write a dramatic diary entry with plenty of description that details your escape.
  • Carry out your own research and then produce your own non-chronological (informational) pamphlet about these fish.
  • Write a haiku about a tarpon. A haiku is a 3-lined Japanese poem which follows a strict pattern of syllables per line: 5-7-5.

Deep inside the cave,

Tarpon wait, ready to pounce.

Silversides swim fast.
