Further Challenges

  • If the male hornbill visits the female 70 times a day, that could be 3 times every hour for 24 hours straight, but this wouldn’t leave him any time to rest. If he visited 70 times in one hour, that leaves him 23 hours to rest, but as it’s less than a minute between trips it’s not enough time to hunt for food.
  • If you were a male hornbill, how would you split up your day, fitting in the 70 trips, making time to hunt for food, but also making sure you have enough time to rest?
