Fact: A healthy bamboo forest produces approximately 10,000 kilograms of bamboo per acre per year.

  • Use the above fact to calculate the area (in acres) of forest needed to feed 1,900 pandas each year.
  • Baby pandas are 1/900th the size of their mothers when they are born and they grow to be around 150 kg as adults. What does an average baby panda weigh?
