  • Watch the related clip below. You are a member of a conservation team that has been assigned the task of tracking down a snow leopard and fitting it with a GPS device so that you can monitor its movements. Write about your trek through the mountains. What problems did you encounter? What signs did you see of the snow leopard? Were you successful? If so, how were you able to fit the tracking device?
  • Writing as a either a male or female snow leopard, you have decided to place a lonely hearts ad in the latest edition of The Himalayan Express. How would you describe yourself? What are you looking for in a partner?
  • Read the poem Snow Leopard by Philip Gross. There are a number of places within the poem where additional information(a parenthesis) has been added. This information is indicated by the use of brackets. Are there any other lines in the poem where additional information could be added in a similar way?
